One of the Best Decisions

A photo of our wedding day at Dresser Mansion in Tulsa, Ok on January 19th 2007

Sixteen years ago today I chose to marry Rich Duran. It was, by far, one of the best decisions I made. I know without question that I was made for him and he was made for me. We were designed to share life. Our season was much too brief; however, I have great confidence and anticipation to see him again one day. His spirit is much too vibrant to be snuffed out. And in fact, all of us who knew and loved him still carry the impact of knowing him with us. Rich belongs to Jesus. He is in heaven, experiencing the fullness of joy in the presence of our God.

My soul can rest

My heart receives comfort from the Spirit of God.

I miss Rich and would love to see him, so much! And then I remember, I have eternity. Because of Jesus and His sacrifice, I have hope. Jesus is the way, He is life eternal and I can rejoice for having the privilege and honor of being Rich's wife for eleven years and nine months.

Today I choose to celebrate the day we said yes to one another. I will celebrate the amazing man and husband he was to me. I will honor the life we lived together, the struggles we had, the deep side-splitting belly laughs we shared, and all the in-between.
