I've Never Not Known You

When Rich and I met, I felt as though we'd always known one another. It was one of the strangest feelings to meet someone in my adulthood and then have a sense of knowing him - always. There are a few things in this life which seem to transcend our limitations of time, whether linear or cyclical. This is one of those most precious things.Now that Rich is no longer on the earth here with me, I treasure this feeling I had when we first met, of course, even more so. It is a reminder to me that there is something greater than just the lives we live on this earth. There can be a knowing, a connecting to one another which somehow expands us outside of our limitations of time and space - even if just for a quick moment of awareness.We have always been connected. We will always be connected.Oh, the hope this gives me! There is more. Our relationships and connections with one another have tremendous meaning. I'm grateful for this gift. This gift of knowing one another and being known by each other.
