The Holy Spirit is my Handler

So, You're a follow of Christ. You've accepted his Salvation and redemption - and you're free! You're eyes have been opened to seeing that there's far more to this life than just living day to day and hoping for some resemblance of happiness.Now you know the truth. You're going to live forever and with the greatest joy ever possible! And you're forgiven!But how do you continue to live in this world with this knowledge? How do you share with others in a way that their eyes would also be opened?In comes the Holy Spirit. When Jesus left this world to go be with his Father in Heaven, he left a very real part of himself with each and every one of us who believes in Him. (Acts 1:8) The Holy Spirit. He is an extension of the Lord who is with us 24/7. That's right! God of all creation and time is with us every day of our lives.Every secret agent has a handler. This is a person who's not in the field but has in-field experience and is coaching, training, instructing, teaching, and is secretly speaking to the agent completing the mission. (See Wikipedia's Definition). We are the agents, and The Holy Spirt is our handler. And He is connected to the most informed source of intelligence, God, who knows far more than we could ever see from our vantage point. This working relationship requires 100% trust. If your handler instructs you to do something, you MUST trust him. Otherwise, it could cost your life, or worse, the mission. In order to be successful with each mission, you must listen to and quickly obey the Holy Spirit within you who is instructing your every move. He has the equipment and experience to perceive the situation in a more holistic way. He knows the full plan.In our daily lives, we have the Holy Spirit instructing us. He gives us wisdom far beyond what this world could know. (1 Corinthians 2:10). But to begin listening to Him, we have to begin to recognize His voice. To know His voice and tone, we must read the Bible and pray. (John 10:2-5) Pray that The Lord will reveal Himself and share his thoughts with us as we open the Bible and search for truth that we can hold on to. He will. He will show us what is good and how much His love transcends all of this world, history and the eternal future. (John 3:16-18) He will show his goodness and begin speaking to you. There is where your relationship with him will grow. (Matthew 19:17) Complete surrender and in humility; listening to His voice in the scripture and in prayer.Being a secret agent in this world with the Holy Spirit as our handler is an amazing gift. But know, you're not alone. You're not the savior of this world, Jesus already saved us. You don't have to bear that burden. We are a family of agents working together to share His goodness with more people so they may know the freedom and forgiveness He gives. We can come together and encourage each other, pray for one another and share how the Holy Spirit has been leading us and showing himself in our daily lives.Think on God's goodness today. Listen to Him as He speaks to you and be obedient to what He says. Because He's good. (Romans 2:4).
